    About to get my first VFR (1998 800i). Interesting braking setup. I invite insights into braking strategies for curvy mountain rides/regular city. Am used to independent braking on previous bikes.

    Nothing fancy, ride it the same as you normally would. Use both, just as you would as if they were not linked.

    The only time I notice the linkage is on my gravel drive way

    Thanks, Mac. I'm looking forward to my new adventure. My last bike(1985 BMW K1) went towards my daughter's educational fund 10 years ago. This ride is of a different world.
