Ok, Ive tried to do this last year, but life and broke body parts got in the way. I am looking for riders who wish to attempt the IBA. All riders welcome for what ever part they wish to partake, but there are some manditory stops enroute for IBA requirements and others based on fatigue planning (i know someone will jump on this one, but I do plan to be asleep at certian places) Anyone with location information and advice, it would be helpful if you shared. Rules: http://www.ironbutt.com/ridecerts/getdocument.cfm?DocID=6 Route so far: Vancouver up the fraiser canyon to spences bridge, get fuel receipt (if gas station still there) Spences bridge to merrit, then kamloops via Douglas Lk. rd, then to vernon via falklands highway from monte creek, up to enderby, down the grinrod highway to Sicamous then on to Revelstoke. From Revelstokeits a decision, take highway 1 to Calgary or highway 23 to the 6 and east to kaslo and if we make it to the Balfour ferry on time to creston. I am leaning on the Calagry option as this will put us in for the Saddlesore-1600 (1600kms in 24hrs) and better placed to get accross Onterio within the 90hrs alotted. I am up for suggestions and am looking for people to sign verification forms for this trip (can not be riders that partake in the part of trip that is being certified)
Route update after recalcing the route: Vancouver -> Hope -> Spences Bridge -> Merritt -> Kelowna -> Vernon -> Enderby -> Sicamous -> Revelstoke -> Calagry -> Swift Current -> signatories( i have 3 willing ppl) & sleep this is 21hrs and 1618kms. this leaves a tight but managable 3hrs for fuel and stops.
