Got this affliction three years ago and it got really bad for while, I think that I've got it under control now, but in the mean time I've restored some 18 Interceptors I think that it's better to restore and have someone riding them than to just part them out. All the wreckers around here, southern Ontario, know me and are now trying to sell me all of their Inters, but I've got it under control now, 5 VF500s, 2VF1000s, 2VF750s, a V65, 2 86 VFRs and a 750 Shadow, which is more than enough for this winter. I wouldn't pass up another VFR though cause I need a doner bike to put one together. It's been great fun so far, not bad for someone with a backyard shed, abox full of tools and 55 years on the planet, the neighbours think I'm nuts. jmacinc4@hotmail.com
glad you found us. someone with that kind of wrench time is bound to know some good info for the rest of us.... I have an old VF500 that is in need of TLC myself. If I'd stop riding the 98 VFR 800 long enough, I might get the old one running right...
Finishing VTR 250 Interceptor My son Conrad keeps dropping the family VTR 250 and we're currently putting it back together w/ parts copped on e-bay. This bike has been a great training ground for my son on several levels. I think I'm going to start looking for a 91-93 VFR to restore. Hard to grasp that these are now considered old bikes.:usa2:
