Isn't there a little rubber plug right side of the frame right below mid fuel tank, it's there on the 5th gen, pull it out use a long phillips. doesn't take much of a turn, bingo, or is it Wa-la ;)

On a 6th gen, the idle adjuster is a black knob hanging down over the clutch cover on the right. 1200 is the number specified in the manual.

Found the adjustment "knob" ok but.. When I back off (turn it counter clockwise) it turns ok, but its like its spring loaded or something as it wants to rotate back to the original position? Whats going on here?? thanks!

    They're all like that sir...

The centre of the adjustment cable is a long springy thing, so you will feel it wind up a bit before the idle adjusting screw turns.

On the 6th gen, the idle speed is also controlled by the wax unit, which lifts the idle when the coolant is cold. If the wax unit adjuster is a little out of whack (holding the starter valves off the idle adjuster when the engine is warm) then the idle adjuster won't do anything.

Was able to get to adjust-thanks! Also, by disabling the PAIR system, the idle dropped a bit. Easy fix there. No decel popping as well.
