I jinxed myself

    reading the threads on the electrical problems.

    Sure enough the VFR started having the symptoms. Erratic starting, hit the indicater and the bike cuts out plus some other stuff.

    Thanks to Jeremy for pointing out the blue connector, the green ground wire was burning. Also the live from the battery, also burning. The bike is in the shop now and they will do those fixes, lets hope that nothing else happened.

    If there are any other things we should check while the bike is stripped please let me know.

    While my bike was stripped, another VFR came into the repair shop for a service. I asked the mech to have a look at the connector. You got it right, it was burned.

    This is something that we have been unaware of in South Africa as we have had no recall for a fix. the dealer checked the whole system of the VIN number and could not find anything sent out regarding this problem.

    Thanks for bringing it to our attention and keep it coming. I may be able to save some guy's some grief this side by knowing.
