My first VFR ride is comlete. I picked up my new 05 this afternoon and now I really understand about a V-4! The growl is very neat, and just like I always read it sure is smooth even when so tight.
My previous ride, a BMW K bike was cumbersome in comparison.
Coming from the BMW tradition I feel the need for a tankbag. I have trolled the forum some but have been unable to find brand name recomendations. A few suggestions would be appreciated.

For you race fans, who rode this RC-45 and where is it located?

well, for short trips, I use a Joe Rocket Manta. I got it based on reccomendations from here. I think I have a pic somewhere... Lemme check... For long trips, I'm looking at a couple, but haven't bought it yet. I also want saddlebags for trips, but I'm not getting hardbags, though.

I've used the Joe Rocket Blaster Tankbag for the past few years, it's been pretty durable. Not as trick looking as the Manta, but it does the job. I commute with my bike daily and it fits a bike cover, change of shoes and my lunch fairly easily. I found mine on sale for about $35 bucks at a local shop.

i have eclipse luggage (tank and tail bag) both have served me well on a number of trips. the tank bag never fails to amaze when it comes to expanded and cramming more and more stuff in it!
it's like my AmEx, i never leave home without it.

that sounds like a pretty good deal. I think all the local shops here carry tourmaster and cortech but there may be more... I'll prob just watch for a sale like you did.
