Just picked up my 06 VFR 800 this morning, after lots of research (much lurking at vfrworld) and patience (ok it was a few weeks). I've only ridden it in the driveway (from the truck), as I'm about to spend the weekend doing my MSF class to get my license next week. The deal on the VFR was just too good, so I had to snatch it.
I grew up with my dad riding and working on Harleys, rode dirt bikes and a CB350 frequently as a kid, and rode a Honda Rebel 250 through college as my main ride, and a GPz 750 a few times. That was almost 20 years ago :)
Looking forward to re-learning to ride with my new broken old body, on my gorgeous new bike. I'll be commuting about an hour each way regularly, and some joy riding on the weekends, maybe with the wife if she takes to 2up.

    It came with great farklage:
    2006 Honda VFR
    Factory side cases
    Micron red carbon fiber exhaust
    Helibars bar risers
    Superbike grips
    Sargent world sport seat
Adjustable levers (not sure what brand)
    Tinted windscreen

Pretty much already had all the upgrades I would have done. More pics later once I get it on the road in a nice spot (rather than my garage).

    It's perfect :cool-new:

Mine served me very well as a commuter for 6 years strong, in all weather. The snow kinda sucked when I got caught in that but I do try to avoid that. Now the bike is just for pure pleasure and the odd errand. Just the odd errand cause it really fails when it comes to picking up sheets of oak ply at the lumber store to satisfy my other habbits.

Stay on top of your oil changes and that bike will probably outlast you. Welcome to the site.

Beautiful bike, sir!! You're going to love it!

Just came back from riding my '02 VTEC for the past 5 hours. It's 55*F and sunny here, so I have to take advantage of the weather before it turns cold again ... while Spring might be here up in Canada, winter can lash out a few more times before May. :)

I'll be commuting on mine 45mins each direction ... and looking forward to it. :)

Nice bike, you will enjoy it. Only addition I would make is a Power Commander, especially with after market pipes. The will have the correct map for your combination. Will make it alot more enjoyable below 3K rpm.
