Horn

    I would like to replace the horn on my 6th gen any recommendations.

    Hey Johnny. Stebel Horns (compact) is the one that I have been considering for my 6th Gen. I've read on some other sites that the compact version (see link below) can be fitted to replace the OEM, but it's a tight fit.
    I'm hoping someone will reply to your thread that has done this so I (we) can see how it went.

    I've got a Stebel on mine but it's in a spot that is used by some sort of ABS gadget on the ABS models. I mounted mine in the upper left corner of the fairing. It was a tight fit, but it does work fine.

    I got the Nautilus Compact. I have the same horn on my V-Strom and they are very good.

    That's where I put mine as trying to use the stock location left me wanting to go on an interstate murder spree. I used a large washer on the inside of the bracket point as re-enforcement and loc-tighted everything. Lastly, power is supplied by a horn relay kit I got from Eastern Beaver Company...
