Today I put a deposit down on an '07 bike with 7K miles on it ... have to wait 10 days or so to pick it up.

I have just sold a KTM Superduke and have a CBR600F to sell still then I hope to have one bike that will do it all - work rest & play.

I decided to sell the CBR600F because I find the position a little cramped, it's not so good two up & the headlights could be better. It's a brilliant bike though and very light.

I'm hoping the VFR will be a little more roomy, OK two up and I know the headlights are great. I am also hoping that I can have fun riding without going supersonic on it .

I am obviously biased, but you made a great choice! Even my older model was great for everything you are looking for. Congrats on the purchase and be sure to post up picks when you get her!

Excellent choice. If you want lighting, HIDs will please you like you won't believe. My promised hid post is long overdue.

One thing you will notice when riding two-up is that you will have to run one gear lower than your usual. As long as you keep the revs higher (at least 5k-6k) the bike will be happy.

Coming off a lighter bike, be VERY careful of the weight at slower speeds and standstill. I'm sure you're an experienced rider. I just don't want you to cry the way I did coming off a 350lb bike and hopping on a 660 lb bike. After the second time, I never forgot to be careful.

Let us know how things work out. Be sure to take a nice jaunt for a few hours. You won't stop grinning for two days.
