I'm in PA. I picked it up a couple days ago from the previous owner who I am sure will have phantom gear cam sounds in his head for a while. He is welcome to come see/ride her whenever he feels the need. He can rest assured it will be well taken care of.

Makes that Suzy in the background look a bit bland...:potstir:

Kudos for getting a fine machine and posting up picks right out of the gate!

Makes the Suzuki (06 GS500F) a bit bland only in power. It's only pushing 48hp on a 20+year old carburated twin engine design. But, the GS will out handle the stock VFR hands down. I have an Yamaha R6 rear shock and .85 Sonic Springs up front. I can flick it around like a dirt bike. The suspension is dialed in on it. It also helps it's a 100lbs lighter too. That being said the VFR is one of the best looking bikes I've ever seen. And the sound is like someone said.....eargasmic.

the ol viffer with front and rear suspension mods 2 makes it quite nimble also. in stock form it aint bad but after suspension upgrades it will leave that suzuki quite easily in the turns.

Are we talking about new springs up front and an aftermarket rear shock? What is the most common setup used here on the 5gens? I wouldn't mind upgrading them as long as it don't cost an arm and a leg. The R6 shock I have on my GS is adjustable every which way to Sunday, was a direct bolt-up, and only cost me $20. I have a feeling I'm not going to get off that easy with the VFR. I've been searching the forum for info but I'm burnt out research and weeding trough hundreds of posts looking for the right answer.

I paid $3000. It's stock but has a K&N filter, new EBC ProLite brake rotors/pads, and new Metzeler z8 tires. Also came with a box of new Honda coolant hoses and fittings. 9k miles. The bike itself is in very good shape but for a one half inch scratch and one scuff on on the left tail plastic (not form a lay-over). The paint never saw the sun...it's spotless. The headers and down pipes have a little rust that I'll clean up with some high temp paint. Oh, and the PO replaced the rectifier before it ever blew. He was big on preventative maintenance. I'm very happy with it.
