Just bought my first VFR. Its a 1997 VFR750 with 66000 km in pretty good condition. PO obviously looked after it, nothing needs doing. I've previously owned some older Honda V4s: 1985 VF1000F, 1984 VF750 Sabre and a 1985 V65 Sabre.
I found the 1000 a bit top heavy and not a great handling machine. Both the Sabres I found to be not as quick as they were reputed to be, although they were nice bikes.
I currently have an 06 Griso which I'm finding a bit heavy and clunky for commuting round town, enter the VFR!

Welcome to The World Diggers! That 97 looks like a fine example! I'm sure you'll find it a nice all around machine.

    Cheers!

Glad to have you aboard Diggers! Pull up a chair and make yourself at home.
My first bike was an '85 700 Sabre.

Yes, that looks like a very well looed after ride you got yourself there. You will see we have a few active members frm NJ here and you may just find yourself a good riding partner. I can honestly say that since I have joined this group of vagabonds, I have made some very good friends from all over, may of them I have had the pleasure of riding with. Stick around and enjoy the ride. Be safe.
