Just bough a new VFR800 2011, loving it so fair, Ive always had and been into bikes etc and my other bike is Daytona 675 . I still running it in and cant believe how smooth the VFR is and the gear box feels like it is already worn in they normally take a few Thousand Kms to loosen up.

I'd crack a fat if they still made new VFR800's for North America!
So, did they finally stop in 2011?

They still make them for the Australian market, they dealer said they are here to stay. If I had wanted it to be dated 12 I would of had to wait until march for the next shipment. So far as I know they haven't stopped marking them.

Your bike looks fantastic. I really like that Red / Gold combination. So this truly is a 2011 model? I thought the 800 was dead. Are they still making it outside of the US???

Yup the chassis is dated 2011 and talking to the dealer they still sell very well and will continue to make them, if you go to the UK Honda website they also are still sold there as well. Shrug its abit strange why you can no longer get them in the US.

You're right! I just checked out the Honda UK website and there it is. It's funny how the US site still shows the 2009 VFR800 listed under the "Sport" section while the UK site has it under "Sport Tourer" where it belongs. The UK site also has an "Adventure" category of which we get none of those bikes here. There were also a ton of other bikes on there - especially in the "Naked" section, that we just don't have here. This truly made me realize what a lousy selection of bikes we have to choose from here in the US.
