I just bought an 84 vf1000f and the first thing I did was clean the carbs. When I removed the carb assembly, I broke the two black plastic tubes that connect the float bowls of carbs 1-2 and carbs 3-4. One plastic piece is a straight tube, the other is a T shape that accepts the fuel line from the fuel pump.

I went to the microfiche and ordered part #13, however, when i received it, it was one of the smaller plastic T's that attaches near the top of the carb as a breather into the airbox. :bs:

Can someone tell me the correct microfiche #'s for the 2 pieces i need? These parts are non returnable and I don't want to order all 6 tubes to get the 2 I need. Thanks!!!!

Go to actionps.com.(my Honda Dealer). Go to parts finder, put info in, look under carb. comp. assy.My opinion is doesn't look good. I'll be there later tonite and check again. We're talking about the tubes that delivers fuel to the float bowls, right? Oh, by the way, never separate carbs when cleaning them, never. It's only the narrow passages that get clogged, not the delivery tubes.

Thanks, it is indeed the 2 larger tubes that connect the float bowls.

I didn't disconnect the carbs, but the tubes broke while trying to remove the entire carb assembly from the engine.

Sorry, I looked and could not determine the part number, it may not be listed? I just redid some '84 carbs myself and know which pipes you mean, I just can't identify them in the fiche. I had a similar problem getting one of the engine spacers, the lower, rear left that the rubber chain guide clips on to. Went with the part number shown on the fiche, as best I could tell, and got something completely different. I don't even see that particular engine to frame spacer in the F or R bike fiche's now. Try asking Jamie Daughtery, he's on the forum here and knows these bikes as well as anyone.

If you're going to completely disassemble and dip the carbs you need to disconnect them from one another.

    On-Line Parts Fiche ...

    Hello:

Here is an on-line parts fiche. When you open the carb section (note that there are two), click on the "+", and you can magnify the image. That may help you isolate / identify the part. Part numbers, of course, are provided.
