Have a MINT 1986 VFR750F in my area that is for sale.

Comes with two OEM keys, service manual, tool kit, owners manual etc.

    All STOCK.

    24,000 miles.

    One owner since new.

    KBB says $2461 retail.

Any thoughts / input on what a bike like this would be valued at?

Thank you in advance for any input advice.

KBB and similar sites that feature valuations on bikes have more information on pricing than "retail". This is dealer retail and what a dealer hopes to get. There is what a dealer will pay or hopes to pay and the valuations for private party transactions. Mint is subjective especially if this is a dealer sale. The ect stuff and any farkles are worth aboot half of retail.

Some of the guys here have and work on similar bikes and will as we say round these parts, "chimp in."

KBB and other similar sources aren't really a good point of reference for older VFRs since the most likely buyer will be someone who is looking specifically for that year and model bike. Since older bikes like this that are in "mint" condition are not very commonly found I would expect the price to be higher than what the book value is. In the real world market I would estimate the bike to sell for somewhere in the $2800 - $3500 range (U.S)

I just noticed your profile flag after posting my previous reply and want to add the if you are in the Bahamas you will have a much smaller pool of potential buyers which lowers the chances of selling the bike which might translate to a lower asking price that is closer to "book value"

Well I went to see the bike tonight and it's a LONG way from being mint.:confusion:

    Been dropped TWICE.

    Broken fairing mounts.

Certainly not MINT in MY opinion.

Seller wanted $3000K and so I PASSED.

At least it was close to hoime instead of a state or two away.

    The search continues.

Thank you to those who helped with input.

    Regards

    Rick
