Hello fellow members, I'm having trouble with my headlight. It did work,. Fuse is good bulb looks good, power to fuse no power at lamp. Is there any other gizmos that would be causing it not to work. I've tested the clutch diode and CDI and start relay by swapping out. i also checked continuity to the wiring at the lamp and i got it from testing both side and switching contact at the battery\ground. Now in not sure that is correct so please tell me if that is wrong. i don't have an on\off for the light just hi\low but I'm sure you have the same.
if there's anything besides the hand control that I'm missing could you steer me in the right direction.///////////////////////////////////////////Thanks Oh its an 85 vf750f. Canadian.

Make sure your start button isn't sticking partially in. Those old style switches are notorious for it.

There is a no-mans-land where the button is in far enough to kill the headlight but not far enough to engage the starter.
