Hello from a repeat offender in Canada. I had a VF750 in the UK in the 80s. Got this 84 VF1000 that had been sleeping for a long time, had the usual carb, fuel pump and collector box issues which have been solved. I have a weeping master cyl sight glass, so I've got a pair coming.

Tomorrow will be the first proper long ride! Been great getting back on a VF

Very nice! How did the performance of the 1000 compare to the 750 back in the day?

Welcome and nice pics. Where in our vast country are you? The pic doesn't look local to me here in Ontario...

.................................the problem is whats gone between. When i got on the VF750 as a daily rider i just got off a IT125. When i got on the VF1000 i just got off a Yamaha R1. So performance is as expected, comparison is not possible.
