Hey Everyone, I just took Home a 07 VFR Special Anniversary...What a nice bike...I'm in love again...I consider myself a experienced rider in dirt and street. I started my VFR desire in 1983 with the first 750. I still have to this day with not a scratch and over 40,000 miles. I have had a 06 CBR1000, currently also ride a 08 CBR 600, and then seen the Anniversary model which sparked my desire to ride a V4 again...so glad Im back. I love this bike...JUST ONE BIG question for anyone that lives in a HOT climate...Inland Empire/Orange County. Is it normal for this bike to run so HOT...I had to split lanes the other day on the freeway and it HIT 232 degrees...yites. My CBR runs at 186... Any Suggestions... Thanks
Welcome FastFreddie, Yes the VFR's run hot. If you do a search you'll find numerous posts on the subject. IMO its because the fan tries to pull cool air past the rad on to the motor. This works OK at a stand still but at speeds below about 45 it's fighting the natural air flow coming into the front of the motor. Action
Welcome, FastFreddie. The VFR does run hot. I was out riding late this morning, and the bike was often over 220. But unless I am sitting in traffic, it doesn't feel hot.
