Hi, I'm Paul. I just bought an '87 VFR700, kinda clapped out but the engine is strong at 48k miles and not a drop of oil coming from the engine, nor any smoke. Trying to make it halfway decent again. It will never be a beauty queen. Its main virtue was that it didn't cost much.

    I've had these bikes:
Some little Yam or Kawasaki with a sheet metal frame, back in '68
    '68 Norton N15 ($1285 new!)
    '71 Norton Commando (25 years)
73 or so Triumph/BSA hybrid, don't remember the model
    '99 Kawasaki 250 Ninja
    2000 Guzzi Quota
...also a little Honda 70 for my boy.

    Welcome aboard.

A friend of mine just bought a 1974 (??) Commando with like 4800 original miles on it. Neat bike.
