    Just joined up as I am about to take delivery of a 2019 8th Gen VFR800. I have had many VFR's over the years, the first being a 1990 VFR750, 1995 VFR750, 1999 VFR800, 2001 VFR800, 2006 VFR800 Vtec, 2012 VFR1200 DCT. In between all this I have had 1100 and 1300 Pan Europeans and a NC750X. I have just sold my NT1100 and going back to a VFR800 which I am excited about.

    Cheers, Kenny

Welcome to the Madhouse Kenny :Welcome:

When you get time please add a photo or two of your current VFR and tell us a bit about your riding history. The folks on here really like photos - it is easy click the "upload a file" link and then follow the prompts to select a photo from your computer. Then use the "more options" link to choose how you want your image to be displayed.

You may want to update your forum profile to include an approximate location (city/town or region is ample) so that it appears automatically with all your posts and if you need help with an issue you may find someone living nearby is willing to swing by and offer advice or pick up a wrench especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge :drink:.
Posts on this forum especially the general lack of any posts asking for help - rather confirms that by the time they got to the 8th Gen VFR Mr H has finally got the recipe about right. Certainly it appears to be very reliable and I have never encountered any issues with mine despite using it for many high speed trips across Europe from Norway to Italy and indeed several visits to the UK.

Both my motorbikes are already covered in ACF50 and tucked neatly away for winter hibernation as you can see we now have masses of snow and black ice on the roads which is not likely to completely clear before late April by which time I am desperate to park the car and get back out on two wheels. Indeed I have already booked to ride the VFR from the Alps to a meeting in Worcester from 3-5 May and then a huge meeting in the Black Forest 17-20 May.

Depending on where in Scotland you are based I guess you may have also be putting your motorbike into hibernation over the worst of the winter months.

I am sure you will have fun with the new VFR - ATGATT.

If you tuck it too far away, you won't be able to sit on it and make vroom vroom noises all winter.
