Hello from Oklahoma

I've just bought an '85 500 interceptor. Posted as not running, just needs timed. I responded to the ad, wife says "hubby's a good rider, bad mechanic". He had taken the coils off, why IDK, and was pretty sure the spark plug wires weren't right. The bike looked pretty good, in the dark garage, and the price was right so I took a chance. Long story short, after a couple days looking the the forums here, and a couple hours tinker time, it started last night. It sounds a little rough, hadn't been started in 6-7 months, but no smoke no weird smells, etc. I'm going to change fluid, and set the valves this weekend, and go from there. The forum has already been a great source of information. Thanks to everyone, I look forward to getting to know you.
