Hey all, a new VFR rider here in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota. I just bought my first VFR this spring, '99 with 10k on it. I wanted a VFR ever since the instructor at an MSF class rode in on one. Love that sound, and IMO an awesome-looking bike (almost like a Japanese Ducati). I spent time reading the forums here to help me decide on the 5th gen, and in fact found the bike here in the Classifieds. My first fly and ride to buy a bike (which went great, thanks Andy). My other bike is an '05 Concours, which gets the all-weather, long-distance, rallying, and commuting duty. I love the VFR, and my only complaint is I'm not riding it enough! I've been out for afternoon rides and to work with it occasionally. I can't wait to get it out to the alphabet roads of SW Wisconsin, where I can really use its potential. Maybe a bit later this summer I can see what's going on with some other local VFR riders and get a group ride going. My fiancé and I have a 3-wk trip to Vermont coming up... But on the Concours. Hope to learn more around here, and to contribute something useful now and then! Keith
Congratulations and welcome. So now Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, 5 fish, and 2 VFRs. Post up a picture if you get a chance. Hell, throw the Con in there too. Its all in the same stable.
