    Hello everyone,

Longtime motorcyclist, never owned a VFR but am now looking at two of them very hard. I am in the market for a new bike as my Tiger is getting a bit long in the tooth. Right now I am being hailed by three bikes. The 2008 VFR 800, the 2010 VFR 1200 F DCT and the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S are vying for my attention with me leaning heavily toward the VFR 1200. The Duck is a sexy beast but like most sexy things, they cost ALOTTA MONEY!!!!!

Anyway, I am here to read about VFR experiences and leanring.

    Later.

    Thanks Everyone,

I have been lurking for a while and read ZenMoto's 1 year later review, among others. It sits pretty good with me as I am 6'1" at about 225 so he and I are about the same size. Most likely I will love whatever I end up with but you know how it is, you have to get a majority vote from all of the personalities before moving on!

    The duck costs too much
The 08 is silver (hey! I wasn't going to say it was too small!) but the price is incredible with an option to buy side bags and trunk at dealer cost - This is a new never titled 2008
The 2010 really looks good to me, if I can get this dealer to give the same "bags at cost" option it just might be a go!

Would they allow you to test ride? What is your riding prefrence? Touring commute or Canyon junky? Other might be able to help choosing :)

I commute on my 2000 Tiger and have enjoyed the adventure type bike. I like to ride at a good pace but I don't have delusions of WSB. Before the Tiger was a Ducati 750 SS. Loved it but got tired of using a backpack.

Really I am looking for a commuter and sometime quick tour bike.
