In early June I bought this poor 2002 VFR. Pretty much stock everything but Leo Vince exhaust and the color.

After a little cleanup and some lessons in using rattle can paint she looks slightly better. Also installed vfrness, accessory fuse block, knock off genmar risers and voltmeter. Next on the list is some peg lowering blocks for my poor knees and some decals.

Henrico VA. I ride with a bunch of people from Advrider.com or more often just ride solo.

On the paint, I just used cheap Valspar paint from Lowes for the plastics. I stripped the tank because it had so many cracks in the paint. Then primed, painted and clear coated it with rattle can automotive paint. For the plastic I didn't do hardly any prep so we will see how it lasts. Mostly I was just trying to get rid of the old color. I figure if I need to I can sand it over the winter for repainting.

I'll need to do the peg lowering blocks before I can do long days on it. My knees are not the great. So far the longest day I've done on it was about 280 miles out to the mountains and back. It is fun but not as comfortable for the legs as my DL650.

    Cool~

I'll let you know next time we plan a ride. I rode a couple of weeks ago over Rt 56 & back via 60 crossing the BRP out west of you. I'd like to do that loop again soon.
