I,m planning in getting a VFR. I'm riding a KLR 650 now decided last year to get something I could get back on the road and easy to ride since the last time I was on a bike was around 15 years ago back in my country and I used to ride the same bike. Not interested in a full sport bike and love the way that the new VFR looks.. Will aprociate some feed back. THXS everyone.

Thxs Thank I been doing alot of research. Almost 100% sure will get it, almost got a kawasaki 1000 but change my mind after n looking at a VFR at the dealer
Welcome aboard. Big fan of the ol KLR. It's been around for a long time. I'm like you. I didn't want a "Crotch Rocket" or full fledged sportbike which is what I enjoy about VFR. I put the Gen Mar Risers on mine and a Zero Gravity Touring screen on mine ('07 RWB), to make the bike more comfortable for me. Which Year model are you looking at?
THXS Ben Problably 2005 or newer. Been riding with a big group their all have sport bikes and I have been looking at the biking love the way they look but I like to go for long rides so that's why I don't want the crush rocket.
I agree, I don't see how those guys stay bent over the front bars. Maybe if I were 20 again, but I'm not, and like you, I enjoy the long rides. One day I hope to get the Hard OEM bags. Keep us updated on your choice.

If comfort is your primary concern, I would look at a dedicated touring-sport bike, not a sport-touring bike. While I love my VFR & don't want to get rid of it ever, there are bikes out there that are more comfortable. You said that you have no interest in a real super sport & the VFR is by no means in the same league as the CBR's, GSXR's etc... but it is still a sport bike first & a touring bike second. I think you would like the VFR but there is a chance that you won't. In my many years of riding, the only people that don't like the VFR are the ones who buy it based on looks alone & then figure out that it is neither a true hardcore sport bike or a hardcore touring bike. So, if you're looking for comfort, just be aware that there are plenty of bikes out there that are more comfortbable & most of them are much heavier with larger engines. An example would be the Yamaha FJR1300. It has a much larger engine with a good deal more HP (145 compared to 100) but it weighs almost 100lbs more than a 6th Gen VFR. The FJR will undoubtably be a more comfortable ride but the VFR will kill it in the twisty's. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
