    Hi everyone.
I just put a set of helibars on my 2000 vfr. This was a change from the Gen-Mar risers, which I will be selling if anyone is interested. I am considering the throttlemeister also. Does anyone have experience with the throttlemeisters'?

I put Genmars on mine and I'm thinking of switching to the Helibars as well to get up alittle more. Let me know if it makes a difference. Had even thought of using both but don't know if I'd have to change all the lines.

The Helibars are much better than the Genmars. The 1.5 inches back makes a huge difference. I don't know if you would be able to use the Genmars with the Heli's though. It might put too much stretch on the lines and cables.

    Hey coloradovfr,

Did you have to change your lines? Anyone with a 06 try the helibars yet?
    Thanks.

Just ordered Helibars for mine (VFR/FJR). Anybody had any luck with different grips that take some of the pressure off your hands. I'll also be selling a set of Genmars I guess.

I had a Throttlemeister on my 919. Great for cruising the flat lands, but wortless riding in the mountains. But I think it was worth the money for me. Now if I can get it adapted to the VFR…

I was directed to SportTour.Ltd in another thread. Just bought mine through them for $225. They said $229 in their website but when I went to checkout they were $225 plus shipping.

    WVFR,
Did the throttlemeisters do anything for the vibration. I'm getting a killer vibration through the right grip regardless of what I try.

I've seen pictures of a bike that used both the Helibars on top of the Genmars w/o having to change any cables or lines. The Convertibars I use move the cables more than the Genmars together with the Helibars would so I know you would not have to change any lines.

If you purchase the "Heavy" (14 oz per side) you should notice a decrease in vibrations. Of course if you've got very strong vibrations there probably not too much you can do to completly eliminate them.

They helped some. They were probably four times heavier then the bar ends that came on the 919.

Purchased my VFR last month and I put on the Heli Bars and Throttlemeister Heavy this week. I am riding a few hundred miles this weekend so I can give you an update in a few days.

I have a question about my heli bars and ordering some throttlemeisters for them. It seems that there are pre and post 2004 bars. I bought my interceptor with the heli-bars already installed and am wondering if how to tell the difference between the newer and older bars so that I can order the correct throttlemeister. Thanks!

Here are some pictures of my bar ends in case that helps...

I recently installed these 13.5 ounce ones and they were a night and day difference over stock. Bike felt really smooth right after ward. I would definitely spend money on these again and again if I had too. There is a huge difference over stock however, I still get some vibrations which makes my hand tingle after awhile. I was wonderfing if I added Heli Bars it would help even more. If you end up getting some additional weights let me know because I might pick up the bars down the road if the combination of the two prove to be successful and worth the money.
