My 6th Gen blows the headlamp dipped beam bulbs regularly every 6 months. My old pre-vtecs (I've had 4) pretty much never blew. I have checked the voltage and it seems high to me at 14-15v but my dealer says that's normal.

Any ideas, or is this just a 6th Gen problem? I had a look on an old thread about bulb life and it seems maybe it's a problem that has been introduced recently.

14 volts is fine but if your up to 15 then you may have a rr problem, see rr threads for tests and fixes, I have had my 6th gen now for just over a year and have yet to blow anything other than the odd popsicle stand.

check the voltage at the connector at the bulb and see if your high, if not then look to a better bulb, the sylvania 9003 are the same as a H4 and fit just nicely with out modifications.

    hope this helps

My 2004 has had the same bulbs for over a year. Previous to that were the originals and they still worked.

Zen Biker thanks, but sorry for being thick  but what's an RR thread? I'd like to test it a bit more thoroughly but not sure what to do.

P.S. My 2007 ihas H7 bulbs with an adapter. Is this odd? Maybe it's a UK thing?
