So after my bike got rear ended a few months ago I've been working on repairing it. Up until about 2 weeks ago the head light was working, and I pulled the tank to paint it. Now I put the tank back on, fixed pretty much everything on the bike, starts great looks great but the head light don't function. The head light has always been finicky with the start switch needing to be pulled out slightly to get the light burning but now, nothing. I flip to high beam and the indicator light doesn't come on, I checked fuses, looks good. I pulled the bulb and it looks good. Anyone have any suggestions?

First, check the bulb with a 9V battery across the terminals. The filament will glow if it is still good. Just "looking" at the bulb will not tell you if it is still good.

If the bulb is still good, disassemble, clean and lubricate (with electro lube)the start switch.
