Ducati did a special paint job on Hayden's GP9 - his first none honda ride in 9 years. It looks nice, but my VFR's RWB scheme works for me fine.

I think the Carbon Fibre bling-bling is over done on the GP9  (it has a CF frame)

He told you to go check out motoGP.com.

Thank you Noz for not posting a political thread.

    Warning:

the bike is painted like an american flag. Not all red like the communist nations prefer. Hopefully my lack of warning of this potential political theme in the photos will be quickly forgiven by the VFRworld.

He's already lapping as fast as Marco did in the race LINK. I'm sure he'll get faster as he gets used to it and they get it dialed in for his riding style.

I dig it. The Stars and Stripes have always appealed to me.
If Hayden can stay in the top 3 on this bike, 2009 will be a good year.

Problem with that livery is he can't drop the bike or the flag will touch the ground... talk about riding conservatively!

    or is taht to political?

The 800 Ducati is starting to look like a career graveyard. Capirossi and Milandri were both successful riders before they got on that bike, neither could tame it though. Capirossi had been more than competitive on the 990. Stoner seems so far to be the only rider who can tame the beast.

At Phillip Island Stoner was getting a terrible twisty twitching ride. Like Stoner though Hayden apparently comes from a dirt track background and he may be just the man to ride the thing.

Not sure about that carbon fibre frame though. We'll see...

The only thing that scares me about all the C/F is what happens when you crash; fibers get airborne and you run the risk of breathing them in.... and once their in, they won't be coming out......
