    my bike is vfr 800 1998 non american bike. i changed the harness and the subharness for a new one belongs to vfr 1999 but AMERICAN BIKE.this solved all my big problems with the sensors.got mor power and i can ride mor than 180 miles per a tank.but it created a new problem.in the harness there is no wire to the clutch lever SO I can start only in neutral.ofcourse i am not going to buy a new harness.it is very expensive and alot of work. any suggestions?

    it is supposed to have one for the clutch, you bought a bad harness.

    I thought that was part of another little sub harness at the front? Probably have to look at a parts list.

    Trace the clutch switch wires from your old harness, compare to your new harness. Find where some idjit cut off the wires for your new harness and splice in the clutch switch wiring from your old harness, BOOM fixed that shit.

    The wires for the clutch lever switch are part of the controls pigtail and not the main harness as shown in this eBay listing
