    Hello,

New to the VFR and this forum, nice to meet both.

I'm 36 years old, 2 year old son, lovely girlfriend.

I hope to find some info concerning the rectifier problem, mine failed today.

    Hey StormCrow

Welcome to the WORLD and very nice looking bike, if I do say so myself. I was about the same age when I got my 2000 VFR and my son is now almost 6 and absolutley loves going for rides on the bike with me. At some point, I'm sure your son will as well.

As for the regulator probems there is certainly a lot of information out there on how to test and troubleshoot the electrical system on the VFR and you are not alone with the R/R issue. I feel your pain and many others do as well. Here is one thread from a board member here named "Rubo". When I was diagnosing the R/R on my bike I found the information extremely helpful and written in such a manner that it was relatively easy to understand.

Here is a link as well to the thread that I started when my R/R was, well, near failure, and some of the helpful information that I received when diagnosing the issue. Hopefully you find some assistance in one of these two threads, and don't forget to keep us aprised of what you may discover. There are a lot of helpful people on this site so I'm sure someone here will be able to assist you if needed.

Welcome to the forums from Canada. My parents are both from the Netherlands. Having just purchased my VFR800 recently I find this site very valuable for information.
