Started with a lost key in September 2013....I have her torn down now doing some needed maintenance. So far, I've changed oil/coolant, upgraded to tapered roller bearings in the headset, installed LED lights in the instrument panel & changed out the entire lockset. Still have to install MOSFET R/R & VFRness, then she's ready to ride.

...unless you were making a joke about the tires above with no bike attached....in which case. ......nevermind~

Just illustrating the contact patch. VFR isn't capable of those kind of angles, anyway~

Far be it from me to make sport of anyone who uses a kitchen table to define lean angles. I was concerned that someone had stolen your bike.

Please give and update if you think that these are a noticeable improvement on the PR3......however, sometimes this is only discernable in inclement weather.

I would have to have previously experienced PR3s, which I haven't.

I will give an assessent based on the previous tires which were a Bridgestone BattleAxe on the rear & a Michelin Pilot Power on the front.

Well, I am gonna guess that you are gonna love the mileage that you will get out of them (sans burnouts). It was a real eye opener when I swapped to them many years ago.

Have about 1500 miles on these now. No discernible wear, but I managed to pick up a nail today. Loving these tires so far in all conditions & pavement types!

Sounds like your buying out the farm with all these mods-look like good choices too me except I kind of question the light weight battery may not work out too well-I am interested but I am putting a hold on spending any more dough right now.:croc::spider:

I'm very familiar with batteries and battery types. Been doing radio control airplanes for years and you have to know your batteries when you do that. one thing that you should know about lithium batteries is that they start aging from the date its manufactured. If you buy it off the shelf where it's been sitting for 2 years, its already on its way out.

I've had PR4's on my bike for ~1800mi (since mid-march). They are fantastic so far! I'm tarting to notice the rear tire middle flattening slightly but it's not much. These tires have been confidence inspiring in rain or dry. I am planning on taking them to a beginner track day, we'll see how they do there.

I went to every bike shop in the area to get this nail hole patched and no one would do it. No one will touch tubeless tire on a motorcycle for fear of liability. So I bought a plug kit & plugged it myself --so far so good. I have used these kits to plug car tires before and never had a leak.

Love the Pilot Roads. I have a PR2 front and PR3 rear right now.
Great mileage and dependable in the corners.

    From Michelin's website:

MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tires stop faster in the wet than any other tires in the category. But don't just take our word for it. Independent tests prove it.* The MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 brakes 17% shorter than its closest competitor on wet pavements and even better on slippery wet surfaces thanks to MICHELIN XST+ sipes technology. All of which means riding in the rain should feel safer, more secure, and a lot less stressful.
    Lasts Longer

Thanks to improved 2CT technology, the new MICHELIN® Pilot® Road 4 lasts 20% longer than MICHELIN® Pilot® Road 3 tires**. Over the long run, that adds up to fewer tire changes and a lower total cost of ownership.
Grips the road in virtually all conditions

All-new silica-charged rubber compounds were developed for the MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tires. These compounds are specially formulated to provide excellent grip on a wide range of road surfaces, including painted lines and pedestrian crossings, making it easier for you to ride with confidence in virtually all conditions.***
MICHELIN 2AT provides extra stability for heavier loads

Whether you are riding your GT-class bike solo, 2-up or with luggage, you'll appreciate the added stability provided by MICHELIN's new 2AT technology. With MICHELIN 2AT technology, your heavy touring bike will feel stable and secure in both straight line and cornering situations.

I have over 2,000 mi on these now & have nothing bad to say about them. Wet conditions stick is impressive.

Couple pics below from my trackday on pr4's with 3K on them. Back wheel would start to fishtail when slowing for a corner (down shifting) too hard. As a result I had to brake earlier. Other than that they felt great and stuck like glue. They still have plenty of life.
