    Sweet bike!

I just got done with about two months worth of VFR hunting and I would say your deal is decent. I wish I could have my 06 in that color, LOVE it!!

I was thinking for a second you were the most kick ass gal ever, until I scrolled down and saw your mug. Hehhaaa. cool pics man, I would give anything to be living somewhere out west right about now. I am sooooo over north FL, all flat, no scenery but palmetto and pines, unless you want to fight traffic along the shore.

    You did well I'd say.

Enjoy the board. I just joined myself and have found some great info. as mentioned VFRD is also loaded with info and ideas.

    see ya

    Mike

Sounds like a decent deal with all the extras, knowing the history is worth something, at least to me. If the girl came with the bike it's really a smoking deal, but if it was that guy, then probably a rip.

two yellow 2000 VFRs for @ 3600 on eBay

Face it boys you're are not buying or selling anything but a line of BS to yourselves. While you are standing around in the cloak room telling each other how great how great you are the market place is about to undersell you in about 7 minutes for the first yellow VFR and in about 19 hours for the second yellow VFR. If you wanted a good deal you might have picked up a red 99 VFR with extreme road rash for under 2K and painted and appointed it any damn color and way you pleased for less than the difference between what you paid in order to be cool and what you could have gotten if you wanted to get your hands dirty. The final nail in your coffin is the fact a thread or two down the page one of the insiders is telling the world that you could buy a brand spankin new 2007 VFR from a dealership at a $2000 discount. How many chrome or carbon whatsits could you buy for that change? The invisible hand of the market place moves and the price changes. Stop jabbering and read your Adam Smith. No amount of lip pumping is going to manipulate the market. Yyou can't talk up the price while eBay is underselling the hype you are heaving around. But the fact is that you guys don't know what your talking about, you are confusing emotion and desire with money. I dare any of you to put your money where your mouth is and bid $4800 for either of those yellow VFR's on ebay and not be doing it to spite your face, because that's over a grand that you will have flushed down the toilet. Do you have the wherewithall to do that. Like THE BAND song

"She tore up all of her winnings and threw em in my face just for a laugh." have you got the guts she had?

    Well crash my Ferrari!!

Knowin where the bike came from and that it was well maintained id say would be well worth payin the extra 1000 dollars for instead of buyin a bike off of ebay that uve never seen in person b4 and you have no idea how it has been serviced or how hard it was ridden by the previous owner....plus u got one of the best exhuast systems out there and with all the other stuff that same with it too....i think u came out great on this deal...and plus u have the piece of mind of knowin that it was taken care of and not abused and you cant put a price on piece of mind....hope u enjoy ur VFR as much as i do mine

I actually got them upside down and backward.

I think Beluchi played "Jake" and Ackroid played (you were right, point goes to "eddievalleytrailer") "Elwood". But what I was trying to point out was the absurdidty of talking about price or if one got a good deal when sojourning in the marketplace. What I tried to do was drive the discussion to its absurd conclusion (reductio ad absurdum, spell check please) by asking how much he thought the woman on the bike was worth. Then the treat could have been turned into a forum on the merits of the Woman's beauty and mysterious beauty in her facial features rather than grousing over whether or mot he had paid too much for an inanimate object. "Turn about as fair play" so to speak. He asks me how much I think his yellow VHS is worth and I in turn ask him the value of "the woman". But it flew right over his head. Its the money stupid, isn't it?

I hear you grow great stuff in manitoba?

Wish it were true, but I have barely had a toke for over 20 years now. Why don't you come down to the party at the end of Aug and share some of yours. Don't forget to bring some seed. How/where did you get those cool smilies? I want those. How much for the woman?

"He asks me how much I think his yellow VHS is worth."

I never asked you a damn thing about about a yellow VHS. I asked what any experts on the bike "aka not you because you don't own one" thought about my purchase. If I knew I was going to get all these screwed up resposes from you I never would started the post. By the way your name "Dick's vfr" is starting to make more and more sense with every reply.

Also for comparision, I picked up my 2002 Gen six in February (here in Colorado) for $5000. 16,500 miles, Heli bars ($350), Staintune exhaust ($1000), K&N ($50), fender eliminator ($70), and Sargant seat ($300).

NADA guides on the bike at the time was $5900 stock. Nearly $1800 in add-ons; I think it was a good deal.

I'll admit to the typo's. But I don't drink either.

I've got a fifth of Johnny Walker Black and a quart of Jack Daniels that have been in the cupboard unopened for the past 5 years. You see I'm a 62 year old diabetic with congestive heart failure, so I've given up drink. But I'll bring them along if you like on my $500.00 86 VFR 700. And if I've had the time or inclination to tune the old girl up (44,000 mi) before I come, and you have a stock VFR 700 to race against me, I'll even drag you for pinks, one stock bike for another. What do I have to loose but a $500 bike? Besides, I can always go out and buy another wreck for a couple hundred and fix it up if I loose. Is that weird enough for you? I'll even take a side bet on whose old bike makes it there.!!

But if I win against the 700, then I call each of you out in turn for the same stakes, from smallest to biggest ( stock 750's then stock 800's, no sleepers allowed) and we go until I loose. That way I'll at least have something to drive home. The winner gets my bike and the boose. Afterall, its improbable that a crazy old fart like me with a bad heart , failing kidneys, and the total mental incoherence yo'all be 'plaining 'bout could win, so what do you "big mans" have to loose? And Sid, I expect to race you with the fancy pipes and the luggage racks, wind screen and luggage on. You better win because if you don't I get "the woman". If you win she can learn to ride my 700.

    Awaiting your reply,
    respectfully yours etc.etc.

All joking aside, I am willing to race any stock 700 for bragging rights or pinks. Stock means means stock pipes or facimilies/carbs/trans/gears body and soul. Right to inspect competiton before the race applies. Any deviation from stock voids race except for Sid's fancy exhaust. But sid has to drive in and with his touring gear.
