    Hi Guys,
I do the same as V4 Dude with memorised speed/tach readings. But I can never remember whether I'm on one of the Birds or one of the VFR's. But it is actually for the wife as I want her to learn more about the bike and its actual operation. Being a bit more aware of what gear she is in might help?
But my question is for guys who have them, are they too bright at night since they are bright enough to see in the daylight?
    Thanks,
    Mike

BTW, I just went riding yesterday and tried to see the brightness. In the daytime it is ok. If there is any type of shade cast over the GiPro, you can see it fine. If there is sun coming from behind and directly hitting the GiPro, you can barely make out the number, but it is still visible. At night, It is definitely the brighter than the rest of the gauges, but it isn't overwhelmingly bright.

Mine is a red display. I can't speak for the other colors. I chose red because the website said it is the best visualized color for direct sunlight.
