I just bought the dual-temp controller along with heated jacket & gloves. Now I need to figure out where to mount the controller.

It's the permanent type which bolts onto the bike. I was thinking of putting them on the left-side upper fairing.

Anyone advise / pic's on ways to do this?

what about on the left by the seat lock or the front on the left of handle bar for easy access.

I glued Velcro to the back side of that and the opposing Velcro to my left thigh. The Velcro did not hold on the control and peeled off so I will glue it back on, this time using a two part epoxy glue. I have tried other methods that did not work well at all such as a magnet. I also bought some of that black Wiring Harness plastic tubing stuff from an automotive store and concealed two of the three wires inside that tubing as a matter of convenience. That works quite well. Doing it this way, and you only have to unplug one connection when you get off and leave the bike. If you are just pumping gas, you don't even need to do that.

Watch he knobs on those things. I have had a couple fall off and they cannot be replaced. You have to buy the whole control unit.

BTW, Why a dual control? You should be able to plug your gloves into the sleeves of your jacket liner and use a single control. Or is there a pair of heated pant liners in the future too. I have the insoles which are a nice touch. They plug into the pant leg similar to how the glove plugs into the sleeve.

Sorry. On re-read, I see yours is the permanent one and mine is the portable unit.

With the dual you can seperate the liner/gloves from the pant/innersoles. I hang to enclosed controller from my L lower pocket

My bike had a single controller in it when I bought it. I had removed it though as I don't have any heated gear at the moment (wasn't wired into anything anyway)

Here is where they had it, which seems like an easy enough spot to reach while riding.

Personally I don't go that way, but to each their own.

That's the general area I was thinking of. I'd rather not drill into the plastics, but if you have to that would be the place to do it.

Also with the dual-temp you can control the jacket and glove heat independently. There's separate wires in the jacket for each. Might be a bit over-kill, but since I had to buy a controller the dual wasn't that much more expensive.
