    Hi,

I've read posts about installing the Acumen DG8 gear indicator on the VFR, has anyone tried installing the 'plug'n play' version for the 6G VFR?

    http://www.riderstation.com/catalog/proddetail.php?prod=DG8P

I guess one would have to remove/crack the top cowl to access the connector to the instrument cluster, how easy is this?

    Thanks,
    Pat

Looks pretty neat, although I wish it was "slimmer".

I have started riding again after a number of years and wondered if something like this was available, but after a couple of months of periodic riding, I'm starting to know gears from the Speed vs. RPM combo.

Hope it goes well - please post pics if you install it.

That is pretty neat, my 1982 Suzuki GS had one from the factory. It saves you from trying to shift into 7th gear:wacko:, but I think I'll save my money for something I just can't live without.

KDFW, I was wondering if you ever got this?? Is so, how was the install process?
I'm really considering getting the "Plug & Play" version but I can't find a site online that details the install process.
    Thanks-
