I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. So I have 1990 and its new to me so forgive me if I ask silly questions. Coming home yesterday my fuel light came on with about 20% of a tank left according to the gauge. I took it down to where the needle was in the middle of the red line. I filled up and it took 3.8 gal. So theoretically I had 1.2 gal left in there somewhere. Does this thing have a gas shut off and a reserve? If so where. As I'm driving home on 'empty' I was wondering if this started chugging if I could just flip a switch, I can't remember what my last bike had. thanks vic
Wtf? How far are you getting on a tank of fuel?Trip is at 87 miles with 1/8 tank left.Runs perfect but the fuel consumption is the worst of my bikes by a long shot.I will confess to riding it like I stole it but yeesh.
Up until this point I'd was up to approx 150 miles so I'm looking at 40 mpg. Its the other 1.2 gals I'm unsure about. Looking in the tank I'm a little dubious about there being another gallon left in the tank that's why I was asking those questions. vic
