    Hello fellow riders!
On all the fuel injected bikes that I have owned, when I turned the key, I could hear the fuel pump working for about 2 to 3 seconds, then shut-off. This is when I would start the bike.
On my 2010 VFR1200F, when I turn on the key, the fuel pump starts but then goes on and on and on... and never stops. Is this normal. Does your 2010 VFR1200F do that too?
As my warranty ends this year, I would like to have that fixed if it is not normal.
Thanking you in advance for your precious feedback!

Mines like ishark. Runs a few seconds and then off for at least 15-20 seconds. Then it didn't come on I just started bike. Sounds like your losing pressure somewhere.

Agree with the above ...definitely something is not right with your bike. Should only run long enough to prime the system, then should be quiet; takes about the same amount of time as the lights and gauges take to do their "boot up" sequence.

Interesting... it does sounds like there is an air leak somewhere... it makes a noise that is difficult to explain in words but now that you guys mention it, it does sound like the pressure built in the system is leaking after the pump worked for the 2-3 seconds.
I will definitely get the bike in as soon as the white stuff covering the ground will disappear.
    Thanks a lot! :)

efi runs at very high psi prob would sound much different than a tire leak

Seems like it would have to be a stuck relay. If you were losing pressure, it would either have to be external and you'd smell it, or past the fuel pressure regulator, in which case the bike would run like crap since fuel pressure would be too low.

    Just a thought.

Well, here is what Honda answered: The noise is normal.
I am still not convinced, especially that the bulletin indicates that ''the VFR1200 can make some confusing noises when running''.

Oh well! What can I do?
