So as i was trying to clean out and check out my forks on my first gen (never done before in its life, poor thing) i had to take a quick restroom run and grab some munchies from the kitchen. when my father, the man responsible for the neglect to this machine, decides he wants to help while i'm away and puts in the bushing/space/ring whatever you want to call it in before putting the fork tube in and i'm at a loss of ideas as to what i can do to take it out with out damaging anything.

oh and the c-ring in the other fork was also snapped off cause it was rotted and he tried taking it out (no blame for that, it woulda happened anyway) the attachment is that bushing that is in the fork right now. i've tried prying it out with a screw driver but no luck. need help asap! please and thank you!

P.S. attached is a picture of the ring stuck in the fork

Common for the c-ring/snap ring to not survive the removal.

Just order new ones from Honda.

I've had this happen before. Take a chisel or flat screwdriver and bend the bashing in to a 'C' shape. Then you should be able to pull it out. For the retaining ring you might have to drill a small hole from the outside to push the ring in. The hole will not hurt the forks, maybe a dab of silicone just to be sure. Good luck!

You'd probably need to work with 2 hooks 180 degrees apart pulling at the same time to avoid cocking the bushing and jamming it.

    Magnets might help too.
