Don't know if this has been posted already but it has been awhile for some safety reminder. Please watch and ride safe.. CHP - Motorcycle Safety - Informational Video
Hi all, When I was a boy and my father teached me to drive a motorcycle he said : "remember that the total surface on which a car stay with its 4 tires is not larger than an A4 paper. Your bike has only 2 tires, then..." I always remember this when I drive my bike, also after 40 years. Well, drive safe and good luck to everybody. Lamps to all wfr owners. Carmine.
I'm not quite sure what purpose that video served. It was basically a scare tactic with very little useful information. You want me to wear a nice sturdy jacket? No problem. Will my Carhart work coat do? I should wear thick pants? No problem. Dick's Sporting Goods has a sale on snow board pants. I shouldn't ride in the rain? What am I supossed to do if I get caught out in the rain? Sell the bike on the side of the road? Yet more proof Kommiefornia sucks & needs to have the entire government of the state removed & replaced. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
What I posted is far from being a buzzkill. One of the major problems with our chosen sport is the almost criminal lack of understanding. Lack of understanding from no-riders & riders alike. That video does nothing but further cloud the understanding. I am all for increasing safety & awareness of/in motorcycling. Make it worth our time is all I ask. That video was not. I wonder what the intended medium was for that video. I am sure it was made to go along with other information, i.e. mandatory driver courses for traffic infractions or somesuch. I bet it has been taken out of context. I shall use it as a reminder that I am mortal and not infallible and everyone out there is trying to kill me.
