Hello everyone! My name is Charlie, everyone calls me Char, hence the handle. So I joined the ranks of the VFR world by trading up from a 2003 ktm 300 2 stroke with a street legal plate, for a 2004 asphalt black Interceptor! This is my first jump into the world of sport touring motorcycles, and honestly its love at 7500 rpm! The VFR is such a unique bike, I have had people ask me if its Italian despite the giant Honda wings on the tank. Then of course you have those crotch rocketeers that make fun of you for having hard bags on a "ROCKET". So far the first 1000 miles I have owned the bike have been great, its such a universal street machine. I was kinda spoiled into the two wheeled world, first having access to a amazing KTM 950 ADVENTURE, that has seen every state almost twice, then a 95 Harley sportster, which completely was the worst motor cycle I have ever graced. I have not had many miles on the pegs, but I do plan to change that this season now that I have truly capable bike. I am local to the metro Detroit area and would love to hear from fellow vfr enthusiasts in general. just a few randoms, most of my riding time has been of the pavement with some pretty neat bikes. 1. 4-mile 03 300 exc, thin mountain air and poor jetting makes for a long ride! Welcome to the zoo lad, +1 for posting pics up front! The VFR definitely comes alive at 7k, as you've discovered, and is a fantastic sport-touring mount. Hang out here and you'll find all the support you need.
