    First Post,
    Hello all,
Just got registered after having lurked for several weeks.... In fact this site was part of my reasoning for buying a new anniversary model....
I've put 2200 miles on it already since 9/10.... I love the bike....
Changed oil at 450 miles and then again at 2000....
    First question....
I chose the Honda Pro oil recommended in the manual and per recommendation of the local dealer wrench...... Is this what I should stick with?
Great site and I hope to visit it often....
I met a guy Carl ? with a black 06' a few weeks ago and we did some back road driving with me following in a Black 928 GTS.... I liked his bike so much it was another deciding factor..... He lives in between Sadieville and Cynthiana, KY. Does he visit here, or does anyone know him..?
Anyone else here in the Lexington, Ky. area...?

    Best,
    Greg Schickel

Hey Greg, welcome. I don't know Carl, but there are a few of us here in the Louisville area. Hopefully as more of us surface we could do a little get together. Nice bike bud

I think consensus among vfr owners with later model bikes is first full synth, either AMSoil or Mobil 1 motorcycle oil 10w -40. Then there is the discussion of long break-in vs switch sooner. My preference is to run dino oil to 7500 - 9500 mile and then switch to synth. Others say do it first available chance.
If you search oil on this forum, you will get a long list of threads.

    Congrats on your new ride,
    MD
