I have a 1994 VFR750 and the tail fairing is... well just a mess, it really looks ugly and ive been searching around the internet trying to find plastics that won't cost me an arm and leg. ive been on craigslist and ebay and just cannot find them. Does anyone here have an idea where i can find fairings that don't cost a down payment on a house? lol DwV
Good luck, be easier to find the whole bike huh? it's one of what it's worth to whom ever, no cheap way around, unless you rebuild from scratch. One reason Sebs project went the way it did.

$260.00 for the tail fairing. not really looking to spend that. if it was like 100$ that would be a different story
I doubt you'll find anything for a Ben Franklin then shipping a complete piece, you do know it is 3 pieces right? alone is going to be nuts do to it's dimensions.
Not being one of the "If thyre ain't no pichers, it don't exist" school, "a mess" might be better addressed by photographic evidence. Short of that Google "motorcycle fairing repair" or a current book on paint and bodywork.
^^^ What BB said. You would be surprised at what damaged pieces can be repaired versus having to be replaced. Post up some photos of the damage and i'm sure someone here can give you a few ideas. BB is certainly one of our resident experts on plastic repairs and paint issues.

Hey DwV, I've been wrestling with the same problem.. picked up my '95 VFR with less than average fairings thinking replacements would be easy to source.. like you, I'm finding out I was way wrong! Repairing your old ones is an option, but may not be within your budget. It turns out (for me, anyway) that if you want OEM colours and decals, etc it's cheaper and easier (but not cheaper) to pick up another bike with quality plastics. There are plenty of Gen 4 VFRs on the roads down here in Oz, so I don't know why they're so hard to source. I'm now considering ripping the plastics off and going to town on a streetfighter build. Post up if you find a supplier though, hey? Seems you're not the only one with the problem..
Unless the plastic is in hunks or there are hunks missing,the cost for repair is not all that much. Prep is a hell of a lot of work and the proper paint is not cheap.
