I am going on a riding tour in Germany in June, and rather than bringing over my old worn-out equipment, I am thinking of purchasing new gear. I am looking at buying a Schuberth Helmet (C2 or Concept), and a jacket, pants and gloves. Do any of our European readers have a contact for a good place that can be trusted, and will work out a deal for someone making a large purchase? I will be starting my tour in Munich, so any retailer in that area (or perhaps on line) would be best. Thanks.

Look for a POLO shop. I lived in Germany for 5 years and that's the ONLY place I ever purchased anything. I recommend them highly. There are two shops in Munich.

    www.polo-motorrad.de

    phone # (I recommend 10-10-987 before dialing)

You'll have to roll the dice and see if someone speaks English when they answer.

Trust me when I say this, you will find whatever moto-god you worship if you ride in the European alps. It brings a tear to my eye just remembering riding there... :'(
