Greetings guys, I have a vf1000f 1984 and I just changed my solenoid starter but as soon as I ground my bike the 30 amp fuse keeps blowing.
    Any help?
    Thank you

Check your wire routing to make sure you aren't grounding out a main cable now that you've replaced the solenoid. You may have pinched a wire or found a chafe spot where it's now contacting the frame/ground.

Did you switch around the 2 large terminals ??

One is marked "M" and goes to the starter motor.

Nope, the diode should allow electrons to flow in one direction only.

Or you might have switched the other 2 pairs of wires, 2 (Red) connecting to the main wiring harness through the main 30 amp fuse, and the other 2 (controlled by the START switch only to power the solenoid) on the terminals with the new part ? Polarity of wires could be wrong.

Somewhere, +12 VDC is contacting another wire or chassis ground where it shouldn't.
