I have a 1984 VF1000F Interceptor and I have a question about the rear running lights. I recently started riding my bike after getting it out of storage after a year and a half and I am wondering if the rear signal lights are supposed to be on all the time or are they just for directional use. My front ones are always on and I thought the back were the same, but they do not come on unless I am using the blinker. If they are supposed to be on any ideas why they may not be working. I know it's a dumb question, but I would really appreciate any help. Thanks Much.

They are only turn signals like the 750. I took mine off and changed the sockets or used front turn signal shells, can't remember. So they would work for running lights also. Got power from tail light.

Check your state laws regarding the use of amber clearance lights on the rear half of a vehicle(as opposed to red). As far as I know, any clearance/running light facing rearward is suppose to be red for orientation spotting purposes. At least that's how it is for commercial trucking anyway. Only signals can be amber and rear facing.
