hey I just bought my first bike and have not had time to tear into it, I blew the headlight coming home from class today and don't know if 1.) is it a sealed beam or not and 2.) If sealed any rectangle headlight work or if not sealed what bulb number do I need. It is an 86 VFR500 if that helps. Sorry new to all of this

You can purchase the bub at walmart, I believe it is an H3?? Silverstar sells several kinds for it. Take out the bulb and just carry it with you when you go to the store and match them up.

I recently just went through this and I think it was a H3 bulb that I bought, but I might be wrong, if anyone out there knows the part number off the top of their head correct me if Im wrong.

Is there a place where you can get a free manual??

I have VF1000R..They take H4 bulbs, and I would imagine that the VF500 would be the same. They are normally 60/55 watt from emory, but, I have upgraded mine. Standard bulbs in Australia and all over Asia...
