    Doc Wong Route

This a great route that as been made famous by the Bay Area's own Doc Wong. It has some very tricky technical sections, and a few goat trails. I have been riding this route for years, and I love it!

Click here for Doc's description of the route.
    • Here is my breakdown of the route.
    • Start at Doc Wong's Clinic on Woodside Road in Redwood City, California.
    • Go West on Woodside Road, through Woodside, and turn right on King's Mountain Road.
    • Go up King's Mountain Road to Skyline and stop there for a short break.
    • Directly across Skyline for King's Mountain road is Tunitas Creek Road. Follow Tunitas all the way down to Highway 1. This is great goat trail.
    • Go South on 1 for a short distance and go left on Stage road.
    • Follow Stage Road to San Gregorio's General Store. Stop for coffee.
    • Contnue south on Stage Road to Pescadero.
    • Go east on Pescadero Road to Cloverdale Road and turn Right.
    • Follow Cloverdale road down to Gazos Creek Road and turn Right.
    • Follow Gazos Creek Road to Highway 1
    • Take Highway 1 south to Davenport and stop for lunch at the Whale Grill.
    • Contiue South on 1 a short ways to Bonny Doon Road and go left.
    • Take Bonny Doon Road to Smith Grade and go left.
    • Take Smith Grade to Empire Grade and go left again.
    • Take Empire Grade and go right on Jamison Creek Road. (Another goat trail :)
    • Follow Jamison Creek Road as it winds down the hill to Highway 236, where you will go Right.
    • Take Highway 236 to Boulder Creek. Gas up at Boulder Creek and go left on Highway 9.
    • Follow 9 up to Highway 35 / Skyline and go right on Skyline and stop at the rest stop parking area.
    • From there any direction you go will be fun, or you can just go home.
