After riding with another 6th gen bike the other day we noticed some slight differences. My 2007 was more squat...sat lower...on both the front end and rear end compared to my friends 2004. This was with no one sitting on either bike...so you can't say it is because I am fat. any thoughts?
I have had my 07 right next to vfrchick's 07. Same everything, except her's is and inch or two lower. No reason at all.
Preload does this. My viffer sat lower when i first got it, after i set the sag for my weight there is more preload on the spring allowing it to "top out" when unloaded. Beforehand it wasn't topped out, i was able to pull up on the bike and the suspension would unload some, this is also why some viffers look more upright then others when its on the kickstand.
