not sure on 87 mine is 02 and just got the same ( 530 110 links )
ck you manual ( you can download from site )
just note it is not an O-ring chain ( that is fine cause I dont run a o ring on mine ) you will need to lube it every 150-200 miles.

copied from article facts about chains cause some will tell you YOU MUST RUN O RING

If your bike came with a O-Ring Chain, then I have to replace it with a O-Ring chain like my “Owner’s Manual” says??? Absolutely Not!!!!! That’s “B.S.” by the Motorcycle Manufacturers, working with their OEM Chain suppliers (D.I.D & RK) to get you to purchase your “over-priced” OEM outdated O-Ring Chain! You can use any chain you won’t to as long as it’s the right size & meets a certain minimum Tensile Strength. Fact is.....there’s a few bikes that’s made for 2004 that have changed very little in 15 years & when they were first sold did’nt come with a O-Ring Chain. It does’nt take a “Rocket Scientist” to no what’s Really going on!!!!
