im down near savannah ga. about 7 hrs from the gap. ill let you guys know next time i go so that hopefully a few of us can run together and you all can teach me a thing or 2.

i appreciate that man. It is actually a 1998 yamaha r1 GYTR carbon pipe that i cut down and fabbed up a mounting bracket and midpipe. it sounds pretty good in person.

 

I was there last year in November and it was COLD but the roads were clear. Three other bikes there that day so I pretty much had the run of the place. I def want to go back and ride some of the surrounding roadways. Have a great trip

A good time is just before the leaf change or right after like when you went, almost no traffic. If you catch a nice non rainy day it can be awesome but a bit chilly.

Finally got the 1st vid done. My gopro quit working for some reason.

 

Ive had a much bigger squid issue on NC Route 80 AKA Devil's Whip then the dragon. The dragon just has freaking slow noobs

 

So f3 your the one that said bye..bye to your buddy (GSX) after passing the rolling road block of cruisers...after passing three turn offs only one guy pulled over and then the other got over....... What happened to watching your mirrors and a little common courtesy?......

Yeah there were some super slow riders.
If you guys looked at his speedo there were times that we were doing 15 mph and less.

 

That's why I'm not a huge fan of it. Too many other great roads to ride in the area.

 

I know....I was getting pissed....you could tell your friend was trying but I think he got smart and just road his pace...that comes with experience. .....

 

He is a smart dude. I rode most of that weekend at a slower pace with him following and this time I told him to set his own comfortable pace. I tried to talk him out of the gsxr1k because he has only been riding a year but he was not budging. Luckily he is being smart.
